Our friendship

The shoreline is clear and the water is dark as the night sky
We’ve walked here so many times the path seems too short
Our words are heartfelt and are whisked away leaving us lighter
The stars are pondered as is life and the great unknowns
From our path we leave for days, weeks, years, who knows
But it will always remember our footsteps in its wet sands
Two sets of feet cared down the shoreline to an unknown
A friendship that has grown through trials and much kindness
Never shall the waves forget the spoken words in the dark
Of two souls bound in ties of friendship whispered to them
For like the waves they are dynamic but will always come back to shore

Complexity of Loving

In the rays of light I am reminded
how the beauty of the world is astounding
where in the single dew drop is a master peice

your voice is the reminder of that joy
how with every syllable my heart can dance
and with every breath in I'm caught in the passion

In the feel of a touch so much is remembered
elation at the feeling of love and acceptance
with all the stirring of lust and desire boiling under the skin

your eyes light up the world reminding me of the sun
how it shines ever constant even when i can't see it
and warms me just by being in existence

In the taste of you i am reminded
of how the world is so deep and complex
where a single food is the meaning of the words

your smell leaves only a reminded of you
how it can intoxicated and haunt for days
and still comfort in the times of darkness

In the total complexity of my thoughts i am reminded
how you complete me with such entirety
and yet still mystify me with every second

as many tears i cry is the breath you wont breath out
hiding from the pain you harbor inside
holding you is all i can think to do
as your world slowly consumes you and I'm pushed out
all our laughter gone leaving tears and silence
as your silence tears me apart you go unseeing
